Zing! Fit Kids Teaching & Event Assistant

At Zing! for Kids, we believe fitness should be FUN! Our mission is to empower kids through active play, movement, and positive energy. We’re on the hunt for ROCKSTAR Teaching and Event Assistants who are passionate about kids, fitness, and making every day an amaZING experience.

About the Role:
As a Fit Kids Teaching & Event Assistant, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality, safe, and dynamic kids fitness programs at our brand-new Upper East Side studio and at community locations around NYC. You’ll support our Lead Instructors and Event Supervisors to create memorable, movement-filled experiences for children ages 2–12.

Key Responsibilities:
During Fit Classes:

• Assist the Lead Instructor with daily curriculum activities.

• Set up and break down equipment and activity spaces.

• Guide and support students during activities with high energy and positivity.

• Greet families and assist with check-in and dismissal procedures.

During Events & Birthday Parties:

• Help set up event spaces (music, food, equipment layout, etc.).

• Lead games, obstacle courses, and activities with big, encouraging energy.

• Work event booths (like spin-the-wheel games) and engage kids and families.

• Assist with serving refreshments and keeping the event flowing smoothly.

• Support event cleanup and resetting of spaces.

Schedule Needs:
We are seeking candidates available for two or more of the following shifts:

• Weekday Mornings: 9:45AM–12PM

• Weekday Afternoons: 2PM–5 or 5:30PM

• Weekend Mornings: 9AM–1PM

• Weekend Afternoons: 1PM–4:30PM (parties) or 4:30PM–8:30PM (select Saturday events)

Note: Hours may vary slightly based on events and scheduling needs.

Who You Are:

• You have a true passion for fitness, movement, and helping kids feel their best.

• You have at least 1 year of experience working with kids ages 2–12.

• (Bonus!) You’re studying or certified in education, fitness, movement, dance, or a related field.

• You radiate positive energy and always bring the FUN.

• You’re proactive, reliable, and resourceful — a true “figure-it-outer.”

• You have excellent communication skills with both kids and grown-ups.

• You’re eager to learn, grow, and be an active part of an amaZING team.

• You genuinely LOVE working with children (we can’t stress this enough!).

Compensation & Requirements:

• Pay Range: $17–$20 per hour, based on experience and scope of work.

• Must pass a background check.

• Must complete Youth CPR/AED + First Aid Training (we can help you schedule it!).

• Must participate in Zing! For Kids Training prior to starting.

• Must provide 2 professional and 1 personal references.
