Queens Public Library Discovery Day at Hunters Point Branch

Queens Public Library at Hunters Point is excited to be gearing up for our 3rd Annual Discovery Day on Saturday, September 14, 2024. Guided by trained naturalists, the event will take place from 11am to 4pm and will include environment-based activities, such as exploring the natural wonders of the neighborhood. This program will also include fun crafts, science pop-ups, and other engaging activities for folks of all ages In addition, community-partner information booths and activities will be available.

Zing! will host a special 30 minute class at 11:45AM that you can sign up for between 11 and 11:35AM at the library. After the class, you can come by our booth for the rest of the day, with kid-focused games, challenges, and more that the whole family will love!

Hunter’s Point Library Environmental Center programming is made possible by the Newtown Creek Environmental Benefit Fund, administered by City Parks Foundation and funded by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
